Gamescom's “Best Startup in Game Tech” winner YOM set its TGE for October 28th, which happens to correspond with Peaq’s Beta app launch. We also have Qualoo, which expanded to 175 countries via its iOS app, and Auki, which teased a major airport partnership.

🌐 First, Firm Foundations

The DePIN dihards building in the space seriously delivered on the infrastructure this week as well. 

First, 0G Network launched Mainnet Storage while initiating Phase 2 Airdrop registrations. ZIA’s TradeGPT and Galxe’s ecosystem tools both went live on the 0G Mainnet. Peaq matched that energy by launching $ROBOT on MachineDex and finishing up Get Real Season 2. IG3’s FlowRTC hit Product Hunt, marking a major distribution milestone.

Hivemapper announced new bursts in Williamstown, Lexington, and New Bedford, MA. What I’m personally most excited about this week is Geodnet. GEO-MEASURE is bringing handheld RTK-correction precision, but more importantly, the company will highlight robot mowers with the tech at Equip Expo (Oct. 21-24) – do you know how much time I’ll save if a robot mows my lawn for me?  🌱

💡 Innovation Spotlight

DePIN recognition is rolling in from across the industry. Messari’s Pulse featured DeCharge, CNBC showcased Acurast, and EU4Space recognized Decen Space. But of course that’s not all:

💻 Computational Powerhouses

NodeOps dominated compute news, launching SafeSend and a Colosseum campaign with 50k $NODE rewards after PIP-01 passed. Which, by the way, establishes a 30% quorum threshold.

Akash has been busy, clarifying that AkashML launches October 23, exploring blockchain migration, and announcing UGI (Utilization Guarantee Incentive) for providers. They're also sponsoring PyTorch Conference as a Platinum Sponsor while Aethir turns heads with its Q3 revenue report, bringing in $39.8 million last quarter.

Flux detailed the upcoming Proof of Useful Work 2.0, which expands staking with Cirrus. Filecoin released Pin alpha for persistent IPFS storage, Kaspa’s Public Nodes now have a spot on the FluxCloud Marketplace, and Nosana’s API Alpha has been released.

DeEEP Network continues to expand, with DeepLink pushing a new WebRTC version update, and DecentralGPT launches a mini GPT-5.

It’s getting harder to compute all these developments.. If only there were a technology that could help. 😉

The foundation of DePIN is redefining physical networks, and the hard work is starting to pay off in big ways. Helium just won Best Wi-Fi Innovation at the WBA Awards 2025.

Meanwhile, Wifi Mapper mapped 21,339 hotspots in a week as ANyONe Protocol celebrated 21,000 registered relays with zero downtime, announcing upcoming Facebook, X, and Instagram ads.

Dabba Network kept the conversation going, announcing data consumption over 145 TB daily, and Karrier One teased some Network Stats.
