America Goes DePIN 🎆

August 8th, 2025

GM and happy Friday! This week was jam-packed with some HUGE DePIN news.

The SEC declared that liquid staking tokens are NOT securities, giving Web3 some breathing room and allowing it to do what it does best: build. 🏗️

The White House also released its Digital Asset Report, which referred to DePIN in several places, and even Scott Bessent mentioned exploring the possibilities of decentralized computing.

But wait, there’s more – Hivemapper, Helium, and Render Network discussed DePIN on the Nasdaq show TradeTalks

From DC to Wall Street, America is embracing DePIN in a big way. 🦅

🤝 Partnerships & Integrations

Integrations and partnerships continued to shape up this week, too:

Adding more bullishness to the equation, Solana Seeker phones began shipping this week, integrating Dabba Hotspots just in time for WeatherXM’s app launching on Solana’s dApp store.

Partnerships and innovations like this lay the foundation for BIG moves. 👣

✈️ Earn Your Wings

Speaking of big moves, Hivemapper’s worldwide coverage jumped to 35%, Onocoy’s Network grew to 6,000 GNSS stations, and Natix Network collected over 1 billion data points.

Geodnet also recently shared bullish revenue and network stats, underpinning the network’s growth. WiFi Map released a weekly update with over 500,000 unique active wallets, showing significant growth, while Wingbits reminded us that token Harvest Season is fast approaching (TGE soon?).

Auki is also sprinting. They gave some AR updates, talked about their upcoming trips to Malaysia and LA, released a new Cactus update, and teased their upcoming Reconstruction Nodes. Talk about pushing on all fronts.

Mawari also pushed some updates of their own, sharing that 139,492 Guardian Nodes are now committed to their network, as Gradient detailed improvements to their Parallax LLM

A great week for both networks and community incentives.

💎 Tokens & Incentives

Campaigns like these are always ongoing in DePIN:

💻Computer Go Brrr

Speaking of devices, computing is laying the groundwork for the network, as DeNet’s Watcher node map has launched, Beamable’s Alpha Checker node sale is currently ongoing, and the NodeOps x Datagram node sale is going live on August 10th

In addition to node news, Ping Network launched a new desktop app, and Kaisar Provider’s app hit 5,000 live devices. Render Network helped make an interactive expansion of the Roddenberry Archive, NVIDIA Blackwell was teased to the Akash network, and FluxOS Gravity announced a late August release.

Communications networks boosted signal, with XNET increasing data offload by 75% MoM from June to July. Helium Deploy also announced that 200 Roam retainer hotspots will be available for sale starting today (Aug. 8th).
